Aliko Dangote is from Kano, Kano State. He was born on the 10th of April, 1957. Meaning that Dangote is the richest man in Kano state.
Dangote was privileged to be born into a wealthy home. He is the great-grandson of Alhaji Alhassan Dantata, the man who was the richest in West Africa before his death in 1955.
Dangote attended Capital High School in Kano, he graduated from the Government College, Birnin Kudu. He studied Business Studies and Administration from Al-Azhar University, Cairo, Egypt where he obtained a Bachelor’s degree.
The Dangote Group was founded in 1977 as a small trading firm. Dangote was looking to expand his company so he moved to Lagos in 1977 (the same year the business was established) so he could achieve this aim, the rest they say is history. Today, the Dangote Group is billions of dollar conglomerate with its numerous operations spanning to Benin, Ghana, Nigeria, Zambia, and Togo.

Abdulsamad Rabiu was born on 4th August 1960 in Kano State. Late Khalifah Isyaku Rabiu was one of the foremost industrialists in Nigeria in the 1970s and 1980s. Making him the second among the top ten richest men in Kano state.
Abdulsamad Rabiu studied in Kano State during his early days. He studied Economics from Capital University, Columbus, Ohio, the USA where he bagged a bachelor’s degree.
Abdulsamad Rabiu is the founder and CEO of BUA, a conglomerate that is into agriculture, logistics, manufacturing, infrastructure, and port operations. Mr Rabiu is also the chairman of the Nigerian Bank of Industry.
Abdulsamad started running his father’s business at the age of 24 when he came back from the United States after his studies. It was the experience he garnered from managing his father’s business that gave him the insights he needed to start his own business in 1988. BUA International Limited which was established in 1988 has since grown into a conglomerate.

General Theophilus Danjuma was born on the 9th of December, 1938. He is a Nigerian soldier (Rtd.), politician, multi-millionaire businessman, and philanthropist. He was the Chief of Army Staff from 1975 to 1979. He was also the Minister of Defense during President Obasanjo’s administration. He is the chairman and CEO of South Atlantic Petroleum (SAPETRO).
Danjuma was born in Takum, Taraba State, Nigeria. He started his education at St Bartholomew’s Primary School in Wusasa and studied at Benue Provincial Secondary School in Katsina-Ala where he received his Higher School Certificate in 1958. Danjuma went on to study history at the Ahmadu Bello University on a Northern Nigeria Scholarship. He dropped out at the end of 1960 and joined the Nigerian Army.
Danjuma established the Nigeria American Line in 1979. He established COMET Shipping Agencies Nigeria Limited in 1984.
He ventured into oil and gas exploration and production where he established South Atlantic Petroleum Limited (SAPETRO) IN 1995. SAPETRO is the second-largest oil block in operation in offshore East and Southern Africa.
